The Egyptian Society for Language Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University organizes its 19th annual conference under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Diaa Abdel-Maged Khalil, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Transport Al-Bahri and Prof. Dr. Mustafa El-Fiki, head of the Library of Alexandria, at ten o'clock in the morning on Sunday, September 27, at the Library of Alexandria.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Adeeb Riad Ghoneimy, the conference president, indicated that the conference aims to encourage research in the field of language engineering and spread awareness of its importance in facilitating interaction between man and machine in the natural, spoken and readable language in the era of advanced technology.
Prof. Dr. Salwa Al-Ramli, President of the Society, explained that the conference and scientific sessions are held on Sundays and Mondays at the Library of Alexandria. On Tuesday, September 28, a workshop on “Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing” will be held in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir. In Alexandria Governorate.
She added that the conference is attended by many researchers and those interested in language engineering sciences from universities and research centers.
She emphasized that the conference deals with, through its research, recent trends in language engineering, especially the Arabic language. There are topics related to translation and natural language processing in order to analyze, understand, and summarize texts, as well as some research focusing on semantic networks and ontology, and evaluation of machine language processing techniques, in addition to research Which deals with the processing of spoken language for the sake of automatic recognition of the speaker and spoken speech as well as the automatic formation of texts, their summarization and exploration for analysis. It also deals with some researches of computer Arabic dictionaries, computer linguistics and electronic blogs, exploring and using them in teaching languages Research presented in Arabic, English and French.
